Denton County Fresh Water Supply District 8-B
About
Originally established in 2001, Denton County Fresh Water Supply District 8-B covers 254 acres of Paloma Creek. The District is located north of Highway 380, and is bordered on the north and west by an inlet of Lake Lewisville, and is home to several community parks and playgrounds. The District is responsible for the roadway and drainage infrastructure as well as providing for community safety and waste disposal.
Your FWSD 8-B has worked hard to make our community a nice place to live and raise your children. We have worked in partnership with the HOA to build parks for recreation and fitness. These parks are owned by you and managed by the HOA. please contact the HOA office regarding any needed repairs.

Meeting Schedule
Denton County Fresh Water Supply District No. 8-B has its regularly scheduled Board meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 4:15 pm at 10210 N. Central Expressway, Suite 300, Dallas, Texas. The meetings are open to the public, per Texas law, and the Board welcomes and encourages residents to attend.
Residents of the district have the right to request the designation of a meeting location within the district under Section 49.062(g), Water Code. A description of this process can be found here.

First Day to File for a Place on the General Election Ballot: Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Last Day to File an Application for a Place on the General Election Ballot: Friday, February 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Election Date: May 4, 2024.

To run for election to the District’s Board of Directors, a person must file an application for a place on the ballot. Application for a place on The General Election Ballot can be found on the Texas Secretary of State website at:

To be qualified to serve as a Director, a person shall be a US citizen, at least 18 years old, a resident of the State of Texas and either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter in the District (Texas Water Code 51.072).
