Collection Information

Paloma Creek Districts’ provide curbside trash and recycling services to District residents through a contract with Rhino Removal. The fees are included on your District water bill.

Residents are supplied with a SINGLE 95-gallon garbage cart and a 64-gallon recycling cart upon initiation of service. To request a second garbage cart, please visit Rhino Removal's website. Additional carts are available for $6.75 per month.

Place trash and recycling containers at the curb NO LATER THAN 7:00 a.m. Please return carts to their storage area by the end of the pick-up day.

If your service day falls on a holiday, your garbage and recycling will be collected the next day.

Service Interruptions
While Rhino makes every effort to complete service on the scheduled day, service may be interrupted due to weather or other circumstances.

General Information
Household Garbage:
All waste must be placed in the 95 Gallon carts with the lid closed at least 50%. Please refer to the graphic below for guidance.

If your carts exceed the capacity limit, your trash will not be picked up. Extra 95 Gallon carts may be ordered for $6.75 per month through Rhino’s website.

All household trash should be bagged and placed inside the cart. Loose wet trash (such as used diapers, food, drink containers, etc) inside the cart will not be collected.

Recycling​


Each household receives a 64-gallon cart. DO NOT BAG RECYCLING! Drivers will inspect the inside of the recycling cart for trash, debris, or other unacceptable items prior to emptying the cart.

Rhino will pick up cardboard boxes that are broken down, tied, bundled, and placed outside of your cart. Boxes that are not broken down will NOT be collected.

Rhino crews will inspect inside the recycle carts to ensure only allowable items are inside. If the recycle cart has trash or other debris, the container CANNOT NOT be serviced.

Bulk Trash​
 

Bulk Trash will only be collected on the 2nd full week (that has seven days) and the 4th week of each month. Each household is permitted two large bulk items and up to 10 smaller items per service day. Bulk waste includes waste not generated on a regular basis. Please refer to the list below for guidance. Please visit Rhino's website for the latest information on Bulk Trash.

NOTE: The household limit for Bulk Trash (two large bulk items and up to 10 smaller items) also includes Yard Waste items for collection.

Acceptable large items (2 item limit)

Bulk Trash

Furniture (couch, table, mattress, box spring, desk, dresser, etc.)

Refrigerators and AC Units (Please note, these items MUST be tagged with a freon evacuation certificate issued by a licensed agent.)

Household Appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc.)

 

Hot Water Heaters (must be fully drained)

Acceptable smaller items (10 item limit):

Fencing/Decking/Siding (Please remove nails, cut boards into lengths 4' or shorter, and tie and bundle the boards. Each bundle must weigh less than 50 pounds.)

Trampolines (Must be disassembled. Please place metal with recycling, if possible.)

Basketball goals (Must be disassembled and separated into sections 4' or shorter. Concrete bases and poles will not be collected.)

Carpeting/Flooring (Please cut into lengths 4' or shorter, bundle, and tie. Each bundle must weigh less than 50 pounds.)

Residents may dispose of grass clippings in their garbage cart or in bags. Each bag must not weigh more than 50 pounds.
 

NOTE: The household limit for Bulk Trash (two large bulk items and up to 10 smaller items) also includes Yard Waste items for collection.
 

Pile branches in CLEAR, INDIVIDUAL piles measuring no more than 3' x 3' x 3', and tie and bundle each pile. Each bundle must not weigh more than 50 pounds and there is a limit of six bundles per household per service day.
 

  • Yard Clippings: All yard clippings must be placed inside appropriate yard waste bags OR inside the 95 Gallon Trash Cart.

  • Fence Panels: Maximum of 6 pieces will be collected. Must be cut in half. Loose wood must be bundled and tied.

  • Limbs/Brush/Shrubs: Maximum of 6 piles will be collected. Must be bundled and tied in piles 3x3x3. Each bundle must not weigh more than 50 pounds.

If you have more than a normal amount of household garbage, heavy trash, or yard waste, please contact Rhino in advance for additional resources or a quote for excess disposal. Otherwise, excess volume will be “Green Tagged” and left adjacent to your garbage cart.
