Notice of Road Repair Project

July 17, 2026

Dear Paloma Creek, Northlake Estates, and Lake Pointe Residents,

The Denton County Fresh Water Supply Districts serving your communities will begin their annual road repair projects next week.  Starting Monday, July 20th, the Southbound lanes of South Paloma Creek Boulevard from US Highway 380 (University Boulevard) to the southern limits of the Districts will undergo removal and replacement of damaged roadway panels.

This portion of the project is expected to take approximately 4 weeks, weather permitting.  We do not anticipate full road or lane closures, however, you should expect short delays or temporary detours during this process.  The Districts, and contractors working for you, realize this roadway is heavily travelled.  Crews will do their best to minimize delays by setting schedules that have minimal impact on motorists during rush hours.  The roads will remain passable but will be significantly narrowed. Please drive slowly and carefully as these crews work to improve your roadways in your neighborhood.

Starting Wednesday, July 22nd, panel replacement will also begin in the 1100 Block of Lake Woodland.  This portion of the project is expected to take 10-14 days, weather permitting. This road will remain open but there will be a shared traffic lane for a small portion of that street.

This is an extensive repair project and the entire duration is expected to be several months.
